Dr. Regina Anderson

Dr. Regina Anderson was born and raised in southwest Iowa. Her childhood pets included dogs, hamsters, mice, fish, a rabbit, and a ferret. She decided to be a veterinarian when she was in middle school and came home to find her ferret, Fuzzy, was sick. She called every vet in town and they either didn’t treat exotics or they were closed for the day. Her mom promised to help her find a vet for him the next day but he didn’t make it. Since then she has wanted to save all the Fuzzies of the world.

Dr. Anderson never compromised her dream of being a veterinarian despite being a young single mom. During veterinary school, she worked part-time as a technician in a local vet clinic and did research with Merk-Merial. She also did an externship at the Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha, Nebraska, and at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo. She graduated from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.

Dr. Anderson has practiced in Las Vegas since 2003 and joined Boca Park Animal Hospital in April 2014. Her special interests are nutrition, soft tissue surgery, and exotic medicine. In her free time, she speaks to classrooms on being a veterinarian and dog bite prevention. She lives with her husband, Justin, their three kids, Haley, Genevieve, and Christian. They are all loved by their two Havanese Lanie and Bailey.
